I have a 1995 gt vert. I have a coolant leak from the radiator i think. The car sat for 12 years before i got it. Is there any good radiators out there that are not oem and are NOT alot of MONEY. The car is a auto. Has anyone else had this problem with their stock radiator on a 94' or 95'?

Mishimoto and Fluidyne both make replacement radiators. The OEM is probably higher quality. The Mishimoto is over $200 and the Fluidyne is over $400 if memory serves.

I've had two Fluidyne's leak on me, so I can't personally recommend them.

Never had a coolant leak on my '95. A couple of years ago I replaced the stock radiator with a Fluidyne unit (with plumbing for an auto tranny) and have had zero problems. I keep reading about the Mishimoto unit (good things) and kick myself for not looking more into one. I could have saved myself a few bucks for something else.

Yeah i currently have a slight Rad leak also at my housing where the auto tranny line goes in. Get this it was replaced by the dealer when my friend had it too. Replaced with a OEM unit I have read hundreds of good things about the mishimoto one also. I am thinking i am going to do a new rad and do all the hoses and also redo the water pump with a high flow or electric one before the summer gets here.

I bought a Mishumoto radiator last july and i love it. I had a little bit of overheating problems with my aluminum heads, and the hott
kansas summers with a/c don't help. The only problem is i had to modify my fan shroud because my water pump bolts were contacting
the fan motor. I have only heard about Fluidyne leak problems, i think around the seams, but don't know anyone personally who has one.

i was planning on getting a mishimoto but after reading people's complaints on stangnet. there is some discussion about whether they are leaking because of body flex, or the way the rad is clamped in place (rigid mount). IDK i have no personal experience

I have a Mishimoto and the thing works great and cools just right for down here in Houston. I will though hopefully be putting Full Length Sub-frames on the car soon, to help prevent anything.

I was posting in the stangnet thread as well about the whole body flex issue. I have not had the Mishimoto for that long but up to the point I put it up for the winter it had not leaked.

Yeah i saw your post in there. I saw that there are the flex points of the car do you believe this to be true?? Or i should say one of them ?? I have read over 5 pages on Corral and read nothing but good things besides just a few. It sounds like the good outweigh the bad.

Its hard to say if that's the real issue or not, its just speculation but it does seem like viable reason for why some of them may leak. I'll know more as far as mine this spring/summer when I get some more use out of it.
