Coolant leak...

Alright so the other day I noticed my 96 gt was running a little sluggish, I just figured it was another vacuum leak because I heard a hissing sound and it was doing the same thing as the last time I found a vacuum leak. well I popped the hood and looked to see if I could find the problem, turns out I have a coolant leak coming for the top of the manifold where the first injector on the passenger side is. I didn't have anytime to fix it this past weekend because it's Spring Break so I just parked it at a friends house and rode down with them. Yesterday when I came back the leak was worse since it had been sitting. It idles fine, but when the RPMs get up above 1700-2000 it starts cutting out. I don't know if it is because the injector or seal on the injector is bad. Has anyone else had this issue?

It would be not a bad time to do it man. The bump in hp and compression is nice

Might as well while I've got it all pulled apart, and do a mild cam in it. I had planned to stay nPI but now that it needs work might as well. How could I tell if its been cracked other than taking it apart?

It seems like it only leaks when its off though. I haven't had much time to look so I'm gonna have to take a real good look tomorrow. Right now it looks like I'm stuck driving the tank, aka the suburban of my moms.

When my crossover first cracked the only way I knew was a slight steam hiss when I shut it off, running it was fine

As time went on it got much worse though

Welcome to the "when" not "if" your crossover will crack club

Such a good reason to upgrade to a PI manifold though

Pretty much what mine did..it was cracked at the crossover..its a common problem..just do a pi swap. You wont regret it..even just the intake
