Corect Optima battery?

I bought my Red Top on 10/24/07. It just came to me, should I have the Yellow Top? I have the Mach 460 is why I wondered that. See ya!!

You'll be fine.. Most people that get yellow top are running aftermarket stereo equip. or they just wanted to go with the yellow because it can drain longer

Hell, I've got a walmart battery in my car right now with my L7 kicker and 700 watts..

How do you have it secured down (if its in the stock location)? You can't do it without modifying the tray or getting an adapter.

i cut the holder to be able to fit the battery, did that in 30 seconds and it fits perfect.

Sure it is... They come in two different sizes. If you get the correct size, it drops right in.

Btw, my redtop is model #7586DT and I am using the original tray and securing block.

yeah maybe i just happend to get the right one because it was a little large for the tray but i just cut off one of the four sides and now it fits perfectly. Matches the car perfect too :thumb:

I had always heard the same ryclef. good to know that you guys aren't having any problems with them. I'd like to replace my ole' die hard battery sometime.

I have mine chillin in my battery relocation box.... But I still need to install that On/Off switch... I dont wanna.... :crazy2:

The red top in my old V6 was actually smaller than the stocker. I had to redrill the holes for the hold down.

I have had numerous probs with my old battery! Sometime I lost that holder thing! I drive very slowly, anyhow, so I had it just sitting in there! When I added the Red Top, I had a new thing made to hold it. My dad shared a story during his 64 1/2 days! One night while driving he took a hard turn and it threw it into the fan. He had no shroud or anything on it! That car was all go though!! I grew up hearing cool stories on that car!!
