deffinitely gotta stick with the american cars =) you do have one HELLOFACAR though no doubt about that. and hey i dont think vipers are ugly lmao i love vipers. not the new ones so much but like the 97-00 GTS oh buddy i love those cars

the "cheap" fit and finish is poosibly what makes it "affordable" compared with the $100k+ cars it competes with in its performance range/ category. since we ALL know(maybe even deep down inside like SXYNERD) that they dont slack in the performance department. im a Chevy/Mustang Guy. only ford i care for is the Mustang<3. but yeh i love the c5 vettes! bada$$.

^haha, More horsepower stock does not mean it has more performance. C5's are cheaply made, over powered cars from the factory, like GM always tends to do with there "power" cars. The C6 Zo6 is the only vette that will ever get any of my respect and that's minimal at best because of the price tag that goes along with it. As for the POS C5, it would have to be one hell of a modified and street mannered car for me to ever consider a C5 and when it come to C6's even the Zo6 don't share the same platform. (There's a reason for that.)

You can do so much more with so much less with a properly modified mustang. Dollar for Dollar the mustang wins every time, in a straight line, fun, looks and even maybe around the twisties. Just cause it's expensive doesn't mean it's great.

Have any of you ever seen the money it takes to get a GM car to handle forced induction? Lots more compared to the mustangs. Just about every Vette I've raced tries to get out of dig races because either the trans or the half shafts. "Lets roll race" they say... Yeah, ok so they have a stock platform that can edge out to 170+ MPH and then claim to win a race. Stupid Vettes, I've said it once and I'll say it again, Vettes can suck my D***.

I see a TON more Vettes than I see nice clean SN95 Cobras. How how common are SN95 Cobras with 03 motors compared to Vettes in your area? I see Vettes all over the damn place.

I like to go from a dig. I have over 50 passes at the track and shooting for 8's this season. I know what it takes to make a Z06 go fast at a drag track and the auto x track. I still run 18 inch wheels and refuse to put full blown 15 inch slicks. I wanted to make a car that I can take at the track run low 9s and drive home. Yes they are common cars that you see everyday but they are easy to work on and parts are available everywhere. I just talked to my buddy a week ago or so and he was bitching about his $1200 oil change on his GT2 and his $7000 scheduled 30000 mile maintanance.

i'd say go with the C6... they look better make about the same power and you can get a targa top which look so awesome... but thats my opinion b/c i don't like that style of flip up lights (i only like 99-02 firebird flip ups) the notchback C5s are butt ugly IMO, and i think the interior in the C6 is better, still not great but the C5 interior is shit.
