Hey guys, I'm restoring a 95 convertible with a factory 3.8 in it. I'd like to drop a slightly modified Coyote into it. Has anyone done this, and does anyone think there will be issues with the frame as far as torque and twisting?

You'll need a K-member swap, as well as something like this

A v6 convertible is the same frame as a terminator cobra convertible. Twisting isn’t the greatest issue to worry about. Just make sure you’ve got good frame connectors and/or that fit system linked above.

Are you looking for an all inclusive list of things needed for the swap?

There are a few of us here that have done it, and all slightly different approaches.

Late Model Restoration and Power by the Hour are tremendous resources, both informational and components for sale to make it all happen.

I did the yote swap in my 96 Cobra vert (twice now actually), but the car had subframe connectors and a tubular K before either of them. I can't recommend them enough. If you're staying solid rear axle, the torque box reinforcements are a recommended insurance. If you're going with an IRS swap, no need.
