As far as the gears don't forget the 11+ also have the different ratios in the transmissions. The first 4 or 5 gears are a lot deeper than the earlier trans. That'll make a a difference with the rear gears.

Personally I wouldn't want to mess with the direct injection stuff. All the high pressures and stuff would be a pain IMO.

In the shop
Window switch can be a simple hardware switch on the throttle body and when opened to an adjusted amount itll operate the switch or it could be in the ignition system at a certain rpm. Or an rpm box that reads the rpm's and then activates.

I wish getrag made the mt82 with a direct shifter too, lol Im probablybthe only person who actually likes that transmission. Imo it has great gearing. Plus you can shift that thing at 7k rpms no problem. However I think the tr3650 will do fine behind it. With the lower numerical gearing it wont be as quick as my 17 (depending on which gen coyote) but I feel like thats better. Instead of stacked shifts Ill be able to run out the rpms more if that makes sense.

As far as getting the imrc’s to work I was thinking of using a window switch I have and programming it to open from about 3500 rpms and up if need be. Its at least another option Im not dead set on it anyway.

I’m currently completing a Gen 1 swap in a 96 Cobra using a Ford control pack. 2018 manifold, T56, 4:10’s, E85. Initially I planned on using the factory supply and return lines, but was having an issues with the push lock fittings leaking on the supply line. I may have been trying to use the wrong fitting, so I opted for a kit from Glenn’s Performance to eliminate the guess work. Should be running in a week or two.

Glad I stumbled upon this thread. I'm now in the beginning stages of doing the same swap. Gen I or II will be about it to keep my 3650 transmission. I don't see an issue with either Gen because it is a street/road race car, not a drop drag car. Hoping to save the tranny expense. Because I live in CA I can't do anything but direct swap with CARB and then only CARB approved replacement parts to keep it licensed. I hadn't thought about a non-return tie in fuel to pressure but that's a thought, although I'll most likely run a line to the tank.

I need to mate the two systems together and the Gen I or II will be complete with CATS to be legal. I intend to gain the 150+/- HP with the swap and run on pump gas. I have a email to BAR now so I'll know the exact details in my case for the swap. I'll continue to watch this and put links to my site as I proceed. This is a 2020 project. Tired of having the higher HP cars pass me in the Mustang when they can't keep up when I'm in the Cobra. Just need HP!!

I’ve been busy but I’m hoping to start this project maybe mid this year. The poor car is sitting out in the sun, its not getting any nicer lol. Any of you guys watch Chris Sipple on youtube? I’m not into vlogging but I love his coyote swapped 01 gt. And he daily drives it.

A lot of CS stuff is generic and doing research can get you there. The bigger issue is in CA you can't put long tubes, tuners or other non-compliant parts on the engine, so that makes mine a bit different. I'll be sure to document my swap as I plug along. Looking forward to the challenge.
