Hello all. I just wanted to let you know about the excellent tuning service I received from Willie Lynch at Dirty Dirty Racing.com in Virginia. I recently bought a 1991 Mustang with a 347 and Trickflow Steet Burner top end kit - heads, intake etc.The previous owner had spent a LOT of money on the car including installing a TWeecER system that interfaces the EEC4 with a laptop computer to allow a COMPETENT person to tune the engine. The owner took the combination to a well known tuner here in England, supposedly a specialist in V8's who proceeded to charge him £815 ($1230) and resulted in supplying graphs that showed maximum HP at 7000rpm, the torque/HP crossover point at 6500rpm instead of the correct 5252rpm and most worryingly a WOT AFR of 10:1. When I contacted him about this rubbish he didn't have satisfactory answers.
By chance I saw a posting from Willie on a US forum and began an email correspondence with him resulting in him writing a tune for me based on my exact combo. For some reason this wouldn't attach to my email so I phoned him last night and he proceeded, via a comms link site, to install the tune remotely while my wife (who is a lot more computer savvy than me) and I sat in the car watching our laptop tune the car! All that remains is for me to confirm the AFR on a chassis dyno (guess where that won't be) and if it deviates from the expected ratio (due to possible innaccuracies in the MAF sensor calibration) Willie will trim the tune to correct it.
For all this he charged just $100. What a star!
Regards,
Peter
