Cruise control problem

there is a small box on the back of my fuse box(interior) that I think is called the cruise control amplifier module. I discovered mine was bad and actually only letting 9v get ot the brake lights. Yours might be going bad or it is possible that you bumped the harness to it with your foot or something one day getting in/out.

I might, kind of sick of messing with it all.
Never would have thought that any wires to the cruise would be under the carpet there. Pretty strange!!
Why would some be under the carpet there and where would they go?

Heck of a place to be, nothing wrong with the brake lights, hard to see there.

I'm not really sure. I know I had intermittent electrical problems with the driver's seat and headlights and turned out to be those unprotected wires there had worn through their sheathing and would occasionally short.
