as cool as that is that they did that for you guys, its pretty unnecessary. if you just have the first one or two cars in line just block off the opposing traffic at the light, by the time the first few cars roll through the intersection, most people are going to know whats going on. youre always gonna have that obnoxious jackass that will proceed to lay on his horn, but thats just something you learn to ignore. if youre crusing through TOGETHER in an organized group, cops will usually understand what you are doing, as in the end, its safer to travel as a group in that size than having some people try and play "catch up".
