So I was looking at some for sale threads over on corral and stumbled upon some cams for sale. They are a custom grind, but the seller says they're similar to the 270ah cams. I just want to know if I will have any issues with ptv clearance if I buy them.

Here are the specs:
Cam spects. Int. exh
Adv dur. 273. 273
Dur@ .50. 236. 238
Lobe sep. 112

What do you guys think?

If they are in fact similar to comp 270's, then you cutting it close for ptv clearance. But they are custom ground and may factor a low lift dwell IVO to aid in clearance. If you can pick them up on the cheap, I say purchase. Build up a good flat top short block with valve reliefs and swap it out.

Yeah I figured since they are a custom grind they might be a bit different. Lol I wish I could afford a shortblock right now, I'd be all over a teksid shortblock with flat tops, but money ain't there yet. I'll ask the seller and see if I can get some more info, but it's safe to say that off the shelf 270ah cams are bit too risky right?
