I'm talking about the whole lower part of the front bumper. If you threw a Mach1 style chin on there I think it would look pretty cool.

Kinda like what below. Yes I know its the worst chop in the history of the SN95 forums but oh well :) then after that throw on a 70 Mach 1 chin spoiler. I think that would look sick. And definately calm down the front end a lot, but still make it look custom. With that huge front lip it just doesnt flow as well as I (personally) think it should...

Very good point Future!!

Time to Fiiiiiiinally get back on this build.

We've been working on the suspension!!

My new friend: Pour 15!  love this stuff.
Coated a few bits and got the front suspension mounted.
To recap, this is the Rod and custom motorsports IFS front, the same front that Matt copied me on for his ride.   :tongue3:

Paul powdercoated the spindle assembly when I was over in phoenix in the fall!!  looks nice bro.
bolted up the sway bar, steering rod ends & coated the ends & bolt-through rod on the a-arms with Pour 15.
Going to paint the tubing on the arms eventually.

Now, on the the Rear

IRS from an 03 Cobra.
with the Maximum Motorsports IRS rear grip box.
Again, I was impressed with their quality and attention to detail.
This is no small job. Took us 3 nights to get this done.
I also ordered their bushing puller kit, it comes with 4 different size bushing pullers!

The IRS box has the bushings, spacers for each, adjustable swaybar links, bump steer rod ends and hardware.  That's right, bump steer on the REAR suspension.

AFTER

Got all the bushings installed.  Need a few bolts to finish it up.

Sub Frame mounting bushing

Lower Control Arm bushing.  notice the spacers.

Pulling the upper A-arm bushing

Adjustable swaybar end links

Adjustable tie rod ends with bump-steer spacers.

Here's all the moving parts. The axle shafts are upgraded 31 spline, 373 ring installed in the pumpkin.

It's a pretty nice kit. adjustable ends, and everything articulates freely with no play at all. Good stuff!

Looks good Jeff. Nice to see you are getting back to work.

I am thinking of getting the coil over rear set up from rod and custom for mine. I have to see what the old lady will let me spend from our tax return on it.

I thought 03/04 Cobra IRS already were 31 spline with 3.55's?

I need to ask on that. the guy I bought them from had just broken one, and upgraded them. then decided to go solid axle. so I'll have to check.

If you lived closer I'd powdercoat a bunch of crap for you.

Looks like you should probably pack up and move the family to Phoenix. Make sure to get a piece of land big enough to have a big shop so I can come over and use it.

Oh, and teach me to weld.

Paul.

That would be an ideal situation. you guys can build huge garages over there without having the city to worry about.
My garage is as big as I could go, and I would have liked to do one more bay and a good 10' wide work area.

Matt, that coilover kit looks nice. moving the upper arms to the center is kindof like a 3-link.
Hope you can get it, it looks nice!

I'm looking at brakes right now. they're emailing me some pricing. hopefully I can afford the Wilwood's...

Thanks Mystikal!

Passanger, I asked on the shafts, they're 31 spline 03 cobras like you said.
the 01-02 are not as strong.
so yes your right, 03 cobras are 31 spine.

had to get Almost ALL the bolts for this thing. it was like 70 bucks....
Put them in, hurray, and look at the shiny new rotors.
