Go ahead and slap me. :violent1:

Well I drove the Mach up to Greers Ferry for July 4th weekend, and well, yeah.

We were leaving the lake, and so I got into my car. Sometime between the time I got into my car, to the time that I went to back out, a red Dodge pulled beside me. I thought no biggie, looked at my rear view mirror, only saw his truck. So I went ahead and backed out, onto to feel a slight bump from me backing into the trailer that the Dodge was pulling. So i thought what the hell, i could NOT see his trailer from my mirror.

So I get out, and I hit his tire. Not his paint or any of the metal, just the tire. So I was relieved until I saw the hole in my rear bumper. It's more a a slit than a hole (about 4 inches down and half an inch wide).

How the hell am I gonna fix this, whats it gonna cost, and how long will it take? Thanks

:BangHead:

wow, that sucks. Well anytime a body guy sneezes near your car you can figure it will cost $300 minimum. To do it properly though you will need to replace the bumper which will cost a little more.

If you replace it with some rice crap we reserve the right to reposses your car.

LET THE FLAMING BEGIN!

I give that Mach 1 a year before its totalled.

your very generous. (i say 6m)

Nothing against you, but you need a DD. Something 4cyl like a fox you can make nice, while you have the mach as a Weekend toy.

This is why my son is driving an $800 '95 Taurus to college instead of the Jeep he wants. That will come later. If he bangs it up a little, it's no biggie. Watch, Watch, WATCH! before backing up! I'm sure your beating yourself up enough so that's my .02.

it's a womans job to back into things haha it shouldn't be to expensive to fix, but it definitely won't be cheap, like everyone else said, I recomend getting a DD, I drive a 2000 ford escort zx2 to work everyday, its a 5 speed and gets 30+ MPG you can pick them up with low miles for under 4k, might not be a bad idea to look into

I know. But it's not like I have the money to pay insurance, a car note, and I also have nowhere to put it. We have the Mach in the garage, and 3 cars in the driveway. But I've got a job and I'm working on it.

Good point. Besides, my parents don't really like the idea of my buying a beater car.

HEY!!!! I resent that a little!!! LOL I've been driving for 12 years and have YET to have an accident or back/drive into anything!

Sounds like someone needs to pay just a shade more attention when driving..... Just saying though.

I feel that every one of you would have backed out after looking in your rear view mirror and seeing nothing behind the truck.

From my position, the trailor was not visible. A bunch of people on here would have made the same mistake if they were in that same situation.
