Danielsons progress thread. lots-o-pics

hey guys i was organizing all the pictures on my computer so i thought id make a progress thread. just getting the ball rolling though, much, much more to come.

bought the car around 3/2009, had about 120k. this is what it looked like.

the heater core went, this is the first of two times i had to change it.

i began to realize the motor mounts were shot, and the engine would actually jump up and hit the underside of the hood.

18x9, 18x10 black chrome saleens

installed eibach prokit

after the drop.

new rotors, d/s for looks.

long story short, a head threw a plug, ground electrode from the plug fell into the cylinder and cracked the piston and scored the wall. bought a factory re manufactured 98 cobra longblock.

removing the a/c compressor and related parts.

time to clean up the engine bay

still have to clean up the wires but this is a pic from my phone of the battery moved.

also picked up new black corners, and black depo projectors. i have a 6k hid kit from DDM as well)

and these are the latest pictures i took, earlier this afternoon.

well thats it for now! there will be a lot more soon to come.

still not sure if i should smoke the tailights or not. i think i might want the slightest tint, nothing to dark. and blacked out reflectors and then the exterior will be finished. ooo besides removing that bulky liscense plate holder and respraying the severely faded bumpers and rock chipped hood.

thanks. i am waiting to find or get black chrome tailpipes. for now i think i might just paint them black(when i paint the gas tank straps black). they are nasty looking but they cant get any cleaner and i dont like the chrome/polished look, which is why the entire car is blacked out.

haha yep thats joe. he and the guys there are great. i took it there and they found and installed the new motor.
i wish i could have done it but i dont have enough time or space to swap the engine in the cobra

Yeah Mustang Magic is the best. That's what sucks about where I moved. No good mustang shops up here. Mustang Magic does great work.

thanks yeah the louvers were on the car when i bought them. i didnt really mind the way it looked but then i took it off and i liked it a lot better. i just need to get the rear window tinted and ill be good.



ive been replacing the old dried out split wirewrap things, and i have to say its looking a lot cleaner by doing that. also cleaning up whatever wires are out and about. there are a few electrical connectors i found that i dont know what they are for, and they werent connected to anything. otherwise wire connectors like the the one for the a/c compressor i cut off.

i have a simple question, the ground cable that was orig on the neg battery terminal, where does the ground connect to the chassis ?? i tried to follow it down but i seemto loose it when it was on the driverside going back towards the tranny. i didnt give it a better look but in that moment in time i couldnt find it.
