I'm looking to get 55W 5000K HID's from DDM tuning. Anybody have these? I was wondering if they got a little too hot for our headlight housing and if the wiring harness is necessary or not?

I had them, didn't get too hot, I don't remember if I bought the harness or not though

My ABS light does the exact same thing. I haven't looked into it much. But I got the 35watt. 50 watts are usually for high beams. You'll want the harness also.

to be honest the 35w kit is plenty bright. Also a relay harness should fix your ABS light issue, in my experience it has nothing to do with where the ballast is located.

the relay hrns's can help but I have seen where just moving a ballast will help it. Not sure if they emit some EMF that that the abs sensors don't like or if its the change of voltage that happens as the ballast adjusts but I would recommend the relay hrns as well as just the 35 watt kit. If you are not going with projectors you will need to aim you headlights down a bit to keep from blinding everyone.

So 35W is the way to go. Do you guys suggest paying $20 extra for the high and low beams? I heard there isnt really much of a difference between high and low beams when it comes to these kits

The hi/lo didn't make a difference with my old cobra lights, they showed a different light pattern but didn't look like stock lights where the light actually projects further up

my lights are perfect.

Not if your getting flashed. I don't get flashed with my HID's and if they are aimed right other drivers will not try to tell you otherwise. Don't be that guy that is telling everyone else that they are wrong that they are not being blinded by your lights.
