Re: DDMTuning #2, just bought them again...

Any luck Eli?

My Stangmods kit is giving me issues, the ignitor isn't firing and I have to turn them off and on to get it to fire so I'm taking them out and get some DDM's. The ballasts are much smaller and thinner then what I have so thats a plus and the DDM kit is cheaper then 1 ballast from Stangmods. Going to order the 3000k HID Fog kit also.

How does everyone like the 55w headlights vs the 35w kit?

Re: DDMTuning #2, just bought them again...

I just ordered DDM's 35watt 5k heads and 6k fogs to replace my VVME 55w 6k heads and 8k fogs, I'll let yal know how it goes.

My VVME's are pissing me off now, they wont stay on until i turn them on and off a bunch of times, i dunno what it is, they've been in like 3 years though so I guess they just had their time.

My friend got 5k all around from ddm and i loved the pure white, so hopefully ill be satisfied

I honestly don't even know what my current HID's are. They are bright enough for me, I guess I should look and see if they are labeled.

Why the refund on the second set?

Mainly because I am so impatient. You can think of how they have so many orders, that means they are good. I can say that, but it doesn't register that way with me. When I order a part, I expect to have it PDQ. Plus, hope that HIDGuy's are just better lights. I have terrible luck with my HID's! Hoping since I will pay a little more, they'll work right. Prob not though!!!

I don't know if they will be better quality or not to be honest. DDM seems to be backordered 7-10 days so that shows me the price is right. I am going to give them a shot I think.

DDM's stuff wasnt backordered, it was held up in customs. It took them 2 full weeks to get to me even though I had 2-3 day shipping. Anyway, the only thing I dont like about the kit is that none of the instructions identify the wires that you need to put into the plug and play adapter. There is just a red, black and white wire. On the car I just used a test light on the headlight plug and found out that red w/ black stripe is low beam, green w/black stripe is High and the middle wire is ground/common. I tried a few combinations but I still have the highbeam comming on as regular and when I hit my high beam switch the lows switch on. I guess I'll have to keep playing with it.

That's how mine were at first, all you have to do is switch the wires. It's cake and takes 2 seconds.
