Hello everyone, I have been thinking about this for a while and I just wanted to hear what some others would do if they were in my shoes. I bought my 95 gt when I was 16, and I have had it for about a year and a half. There are a few things about the car that I wish were different. The car is an auto and I really wish it was a 5 spd. Also one of the previous owners had it painted a different color, so the engine bay and other spots that have chipped off show the original paint. The entire car will need a repaint soon so that will be the 3rd coat of paint for the car. I have been thinking about selling it and getting a clean fox body notch or another 95-95 GT both would have to be a 5 spd. Part of me wants to keep my car because it was my first car and it runs strong but another side of me wants to find a clean notch and have some fun. I know most of you will say I'm too young and should be happy with what I have, but I have a job and work hard to have what I have and get what I want Thanks

If it runs good, I'd be weary with changing to a different car. A used car is a used car and its hard to ever know what problems the car could have before buying it.

And its never impossible to swap in a 5-speed.

Keep what you have now and do a 5 speed swap. What bugs me is having to do a repaint which could be a little pricey especially since it wasn't done right the first time.

doing a 5 speed swap is not hard or expensive.

Repaint the car, it will last another 10 more years?
keep the car..

Find a cheap DD man, if you dont have one?

as stated if it runs good then keep it. You can get another one that looks hella sweet but it could run like poo. Your better off just doing a 5 spd swap and having it painted right. Paint can be expensive depending on what color and who does it but a good paint job will last a long time and if you bought another one it doubtful its paint would be as nice as yours if you repainted it unless they just did the same thing themselves.

Yeah i am with everyone else. Just keep the car and do a 5Spd conversion or throw a Built Auto in there. The reason i won't get another car is b/c i know and trust my car. I am however receiving a new motor this weekend, then next it should be a new tranny. Then i should be set for another 10 yrs or so. Just hold onto it otherwise you will be kicking yourself down the road.

how many miles do you 75have on the car? I would think just doing a tranny swap would be your best bet, but if the car has over 150k miles you might have to start replace some other parts to keep it safe to drive...
