did a tune up, extra wire?

I just did a tune up on my car with motorcraft plugs, Ford racing 9mm wires and MSD cap n rotor.
I have this extra wire I cant figure out where it goes. if anywere at all. its not the wire that goes from the center of cap to iginition coil. (i replaced that)
and its no more than 6-8 inches long. is there any other wires that need to get replaced besides the 8 plug wires and Ignition coil wire?
I tryed to upload a pic but it wont work, one end looks normal and the other end is fatter and has metal coming out of the boot.

it's just an extra coil wire for a different style cap or different coil.
chuck it with the old wires

I have a couple of those for a rainy day, they are just an extra. came in handy once with my boat.
