Lol yeah I've seen that before. I love diesels and I love Mustangs... Best of both worlds for a guy like me!

Yes for sure but the reason you don't see it is partially because a diesel motor (at least truck diesels) weigh soo much more than a gas engine. Not sure if that holds true to a car diesel or not.

Diesel engines have completely changed the automotive industry as of late (I.E. Ecoboost, GDI, etc.)

Umm the Ecoboost is a gas engine my dude! Lol!

But even the newer diesels which roll off the factory floor with almost 1000ftlbs of torque.. Is just absolutely insane!

I think when you have that much hp and tq, weight isn't a worry. Haha.

Bingo! Which is why you see diesel trucks with big heavy tool box's, extra 100 gallon gas tanks, big wheels and tires etc etc etc.. Because with that kind of power it REALLY doesn't matter. Shit I was towing a 40ft flatbed trailer last week to go pick up 2 of my cars and while riding out to my house, half the time I forgot the trailer was there. The power loss was soo minor that I really didn't notice the trailer there until I made a turn lol. And like I said it was a 40ft flatbed, and had was a triple axle with 2 8ft ramps that weighed in somewhere around 100-150lbs a piece. I fuggin looooooooooove diesels!

Here in Europe diesel-cars are very normal. Every car will have a petrol version and a diesel version. People who drive a lot generally go for diesel cars, since it's cheaper.

No kidding? I wasn't aware of that. Watching Top Gear UK made me realize that there are a lot of diesels over there but I didn't know there were that many. But yeah it really makes me wonder why the hell they charge so much more for diesel over here... It should be CHEAPER than unleaded but instead its getting damn close to a dollar more

It is but its injection method (direct injection) is inspired by the diesel engine. The whole concept of the ecoboost is diesel inspired.

I was looking for this to post, thanks for getting it before me haha.

This car is a driver too, I remember reading he drove it 600 miles to some event. It's a fully reliable 9 second car. That's what's awesome about it.

Good call! That much I admit I didn't know. Very cool info, so I totally agree that diesels are revolutionizing the automotive industry

But man.... Fawk this mod motor game... I'm goin diesel! Lol. Actually if I had a spare turbo diesel motor just chillin in the garage I swear I'd fab something up and make it work
