that thing is nuts, but very cool. I don't know why(not that i have a problem with chevy engine in a ford) but i wonder why he didn't
attempt to put a PowerStroke in the mustang.. I would have said Cummins, but i didn't think that long ass engine would fit... :dontknow:

the powerstroke doesn't make power as easily and its a heavier motor so with pro's and cons the duramax is the best bet

i think that the powerstroke is better than the dmax, but i will admit that cummins takes the cake on it all.

however, they get the diesels from other companies right? so its not really a chevy motor, its just what chevy uses.

a kid at my school has a dmax pushin like 800 horsepower though, that thing is freakin nasty.

Diesels are heavy, in a Mustang, it would suck...

Blind wolves are different also, their mother's eat them for a reason though.

I didn't say it's slow, I said it would suck. I still say it would suck. Look up the weight on that Duramax, and you'll see why it would suck.

If all I wanted to do is go to the strip and run 10's, that's easy, without a 1200 lb weight in the front of my car.

the powerstroke just cant keep up with the duramax on the strip... and justin ford is already underway with i believe a 2.2 or 2.4l diesel for cars, and i heard rumor of a turbo 4.4 for the f150 but dont quote me on that one...

everyone thinks that diesel is more expensive simply because they dont put alot of it at gas stations so it appears to be more pricy

however, all the research ive done shows that diesel is cheaper to make, and is now more efficient than gasoline.
lol, they are just gettin started at 500k miles lmao

I wrote a paper in college, based on available technologies, including fuel cells, hybrids, solar car's, etc...

From start to finish, as in, the time the ores come out of the ground, to the end of the projected life cycle, diesels were the cleanest, most efficient, with the least amount of enviromental impact.

However I still think hanging a 1200 lb bob weight of the front of a SN95 is alot stupider than the 25 lb weight Ford put on convertibles.

maybe so, but you wouldn't get 35mpg on the highway lol. Those runs were pretty sweet.

The 10.60's are shake downs. Its gone 9.91 at 130. That car is expected to go sub nines...and it would put MONEY on the fact that it will....but you're right. 8.90's, 35mpg, and the ability to tow your boat to the dock is REALLY freakin stupid. If it rolls the hell OUT who cares what it weighs? Find me ONE....ONE gas engine that can run 9.90s and knock down that type of mileage. Hell the percentage of 9 second cars that even run on readily available pump gas is slim....
