diff went out

so my differential went out today I need toget a new one. Friend told. Me to go to junk yard and find a 99- 04 rear axle any advise?

99-04 axles are going to be slightly longer so you may have some extra time to make it it (shock/ lca mount's)

You can rebuild your trac-lok for cheap. I'd just do that.

that and if you want, get some moser 28 spline axles

99-04 rears are 3/4 of an inch wider on both sides. Just rebuild the one you have, unless you trashed the housing.

MPSautosalvage.. Is the actual housing broken/cracked etc.. or just the internals?
I've actually got a 95 GT rearend, disc brakes and everything I'd sell, and a brand new set of Ford Racing 3.73 in the box

well considering that FRPP gears are around $150, does $400 shipped sound reasonable? (we are 1,300mi apart)
This rearend has been cleaned, painted, and i could even turn the rotors before shipping. I was going to use it
in my 89 coupe, but i sold the car and have no need for the diff.
