Disable autolock?

I would like to disable the auto lock feature 2001 GT Conv. Nothing in the manual but found this instruction for other Fords of the same age as New Edge:
You must complete steps 1-7 within 30 seconds or the procedure will
have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must
wait 30 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn will
chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long
chirp) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the
procedure is complete.

Does not work on mine though, tried several times but no. Is there a way to do it?

OK, thanks. Don´t have Forscan but it seems to be available for phones and i already have a OBDlink MX+ bluetooth dongle so will test.
Do you know if it works with the paid version of Forscan Lite in Android or iOS or does it have to be the computer full version?
So did some reading and if i understrand correctly you need the extended version to do "programming". Just don´t know if this is programming or service function?

Really? I don't think I have auto lock on my 03 GT Convertible at all. It's never done it on me.

Mine locks directly when i put on the ignition. Did the same in my 2003 GT Convertible i had previously.

You’ll need the full version. I didn’t know auto lock was a feature in these cars either. But it was of other models of that era and only in autos.

Autolock as a safety feature is not really of much use in a Convertible i almost always drive top down!
