Came out of the dyno and got 294hp/320tq...very very dissapointed. See my sig for mod info. These numbers were achieved with a vac leak. My lower intake is not seated properly and is leaking air from the lower intake into the crank case. I must not have created a full seal between the lower intake and the heads. Do you guys think if this is fixed, my HP and TQ will go up?

Ya, that seems normal for a HCI 302. Were numbers from a DynoJet or Mustang Dyno? Mustang dynos tend to read like 10-15% lower than dynojets, thus why my car put down only 270rwhp where as CanaryGT with basically the same set up put up 300rwhp on a dynojet.

Those numbers are average.

You don't live on a dyno..numbers mean nothing.

With the Fast as cast heads that should be about right.

Agreed 1/4 mile time is where it's at.

Ya man, before you get down on yourself, fix your leak then get back to the dyno. Good luck.

dont race the dyno, a custom camshaft and a different intake would net you some more ponies

Those numbers are good. Don't be pissed. My 347 stroker made 330 at the wheels NA and was running 7.50 in the 1/8 on a 100 shot. It all comes down to who is faster. Guage your power on the track. There's too many Dyno Queens!!!

I agree with this.

What did you expect to make? Your dyno numbers are pretty much on par with what people are making with that combo... Just for comparison sake, I once made 290/295 with a 306 afr165, ots crane cam, tmoss ported gt40 combo on a dynojet.

It's sounds like you're having fun with it though and that's all that really matters.
