There are very few cars that fall in the "excellent" category by KBB standards and neither of the two that you posted are anywhere close. Excellent by KBB is an always garage kept car that gets driven maybe once or twice a year and has no scratches whatsoever.
What I typically do is take the "retail" and the "average" prices, add them and divide by two that gives you roughly $6,800 then subtract $1,000 and that's your starting point. So if you go to the dealership I would start at about $5,500-$6,000 and wouldn't go over $7,000 out the door taxes and all.
