There are very few cars that fall in the "excellent" category by KBB standards and neither of the two that you posted are anywhere close. Excellent by KBB is an always garage kept car that gets driven maybe once or twice a year and has no scratches whatsoever.

What I typically do is take the "retail" and the "average" prices, add them and divide by two that gives you roughly $6,800 then subtract $1,000 and that's your starting point. So if you go to the dealership I would start at about $5,500-$6,000 and wouldn't go over $7,000 out the door taxes and all.

i had a hard time telling the color too, but the interior is a 98 so that was the defining factor. 98 dash and 98 cupholders

Oh wow.. @ the color in person. From far away it looks so much better than my laser red. We got the price down a lot, but i wont be sure if im buying it till tomorrow.

Its still not the price i want, but its very very close. I havent drove a mustang since my caught on my fire and this one feels A LOT stronger. It has a PI intake the pulleys are different.. and the 1st gear feels like it runs out super quick. My car could rev 1st gear forever, but make no power. This could could pull in 1st but feels heavy.

Chances are high im going to skip over this car. Its awesome as hell, but there selling it AS IS with no warranty. Something might be fishy

Almost every car dealer selling a 10+ year old car will do it "as is" so they don't have to guarantee State Inspection. Also there aren't many warranty companies that will touch a car over 7-8 years old.

At best the dealer might give you a 30 day 1,000 mile - 90 day 3,000 mile powertrane warranty if you negotiate it.

These guys cant go under 6,900 and we turned them down after thinking. They just called my cellphone stating its a steal and super low miles after my dad told them we dont want it. Its a really nice car and was trailered in by the owner instead of drove ( <---she said), but 6,900 is steep when i finally sat down and thought about it. My job is weird and im not sure if im going to have it come the next 2.5 years. Second, paying 3 years for this old car is crazy and paying 6,900+ finance charges would make me an bigger idiot than i already am.

Then i told her we got my vert for 3k under that and and she said, "wow, someone was really generous to you" :laughing4: No, 6,900 is to much and there not the only dealer selling a 94-98 GT for 6995... i seen another one today. Btw, this Vert i wanted was priced @ 8,500 and we got it down to 6,900. Oh well.
