PROFORM Part # 66969BK I found it at rockauto.com it looks like a chevy HEI with a vacuum advance. This should solve the problem of the computer backing off the timing between shifts in the 94s and 95s but I'm not sure what other effect or problem it may cause with the computer. because I think the computer uses the pip signal for timing the fuel injection but if you were going carb and have a T-5 tranny it may be a way to get away from the computer all together. any one using this distributer

instead of spending the money for a sbc distributor, get a retard box and lock out your total timing. This way the computer won't mess with your timing and you will have TT all the time.

I have the Pro Comp HEI distributor in my wife's '66 Mustang. At the time I got it I was under the impression that it was Aussie made but it is Chinese. In talking with other's that have this distributor it seems that it is good for the street but not in real high performance and race applications. Under severe duty they tend to snap. In street duty they seem to hold up just fine.

In the '66 it was a matter of running a 12V switched power source to it and hooking up vacuum and calling it a day.
