the hardest thing about the job is breaking the bolt loose. THAT BOLT IS TIGHT. don't forget to get the washer out before you install the puller or the pulley will go nowhere

I've had 2 PP balancers on 2 different mustangs.

Never had a problem.

The Ford piece is good stuff.

My balancer went bad after 136K miles on my daily driver. A new Ford Racing replacement for $69 did the job perfectly. There is no need for anything more sophisticated than that on a stock-ish motor.

I just had a shop do it for me. I even have the tools and know-how, but it's a pain in the ass and I hate doing it. The shop only wanted one hour of labor ($65) to do it - so they got the job!

yep, that's the one I had my eyes on... I'm even thinking about letting a shop do it too.. not only does it save me the PITA, but I think an hours labor is cheaper then buying and shipping the tools to do the job myself. I'll see

Romac is good stuff too. No need to spend the money on a mostly stock car though.

You'd fly to the Netherlands for an 18 pack?

Btw, I'm gonna get raped on shipping.. ordered from summit and choose the 3 day UPS shipping because I need it ASAP.. and now summit hasn't even shipped it yet after 2 days.. That's fast $150+ shipping for ya.

Its really easy to do. I had to do some creative stuff to get the tools to work but everything went ok and runs fine.

I put a Dorman one on my stock motor. I drove the car over a year with it and it was perfectly fine.

Given that the Ford replacement is less than $70, why get anything else?

I doubt that. Plus they're readily available online in lots of places.

Doubt it but I called around when mine went. I ended with a Dorman the same day. If your gonna order it online then sure get OEM ford but I think he needs it asap.
