ok so im going to be replacing my clutch and getting a lightweight flywheel. also while the tranny is out im putting in poly motor and trans mounts. ooooook with that aside i had 2 questions. i hear that you should never use the clutch company's throw out and to use the ford racing unit. is this true? and from there should i leave the stock clutch self adjusting assembly or get a new quadrant?

I like to use a new quadrant it's not necessary but I like the mm ones. On my own cars I always use ford racing ones instead of the one supplied with the cllutch kit . I've had centerforce ones squeal on first start up :(

never use the clutch companies TOB. only FoMoCo (i use FRPP, to boot).

I would have kept my clutch quadrant/cable if i could have, but mine no longer fit with the new clutch. if you can keep yours, keep it. if it wont fit (constant pressure on the clutch) get an adjustable one.

Timken makes a good product. The skf one I have in the car works fine but it ticks.
