Right now I have 6x8 Kicker DS speakers, and i don't like them...they distort when i turn it up loud (i am running off JVC HU)
Would a after market amp fix the distorting? or should I just run better speakers with an amp?
I will also be adding a sub/amp (i would like to do the rear seat delete and put the subs facing the front) if anyone could show me how to build that type of box or show me where to buy one.

an amp will help them play louder and cleaner, or you could add a sub and then cross-over the speakers so that they do not get as much bass. The sub will be playing it better and the speakers will play cleaner with less bass in them as well.

Rear seat deletes are easy to make, I made my own shown here.

Just use cardboard to trim the shape you need, then transfer that to the wood. This of course gives you the chance to personalize it so I added a litte color to mine. I am getting ready to swap all the grey out in the pics for carbon fiber though, hopefully not too long from now.

your set up is sick. I like the radar design too, also what did you use on your trim piece around the radio for paint? and prep work? Mine is all scratched up and would like to try to restore it a bit
but Ill try to get a amp and see how it sounds.
appreciate the help

Edit:
My HU only has 1 RCA output, how can I run 2 amps? should I get a line out converter or is there an easier process

Did you just buy your deck? Also, a LOC is a good solution if you want to go that way. Also you could buy Alpine's power pack and just cut one end and wire in the JVC plug, that would work for your amp for your speakers. Then you could just use the RCA's on your deck for your sub.

thanks, never selling it and still working on it so stay tuned. For the dash I just lightly scuffed it, then hit it duplicolor paint/clear and then wetsand/polish.

As he said above you can just split the output, or some amps will have an output built into them. So if you buy an amp to run the subs, you can just run one rca back and then one between the amps.

was in the hospital for new years, and was sick all day yesterday from my medicine, but today was better. Its killin me sittin hear with all my PG gear strewn out on the floor almost ready to be installed. If I was healthy I could probably finish it in less then a week but I know it will take me months...
