Does nobody on this forum have any actual times from street tires to drag slicks numbers on average what you usually gain 60ft wise

What your running on street tires is the norm, what you will get on slicks will be 1.8's most likely. Like Justin said if you were spinning half way down the track and your 60' were something like 2.6+ then you probably could cut up to a second off but your not going to be getting amazing 60' times w/ stock suspension. Just does not work that way.

Its just like w/ the motor you can put on better heads but w/ out a better intake an cam you wont see the full effects of either mod, they all work together. Just like w/ traction its a lot more then just the tires or slicks. You need the suspension mods to get them to both work together. Your 60 times now are right where Id expect them to be on street tires and stock suspension but the more aggressive of a tire you get the more the suspension comes into play. Your not going to go from a 2.1 on street tires to a 1.6 on slicks w/ out some suspension work. I think your expecting to much of out just one mod. There is ALWAYS the exception Im just saying that what your expecting is not the norm.

+1 on venoms comments.

A good example of this could be my car...

I recently ran 12.71 on 245 street tires in my blown, stalled auto.

My 60 foot time was about 2.0
Im sure I could knock .5 off that time with slicks if not more

Later in the night I ran 13.10 at 111 with a 2.3 60 foot spinning a long ways.

Now, I could probably knock a full second off that 13.1 with drag slicks but im also a high stalled, blown auto that spun half way down the track.

The point is drag slicks will help, .4? maybe, a second, not a chance.

Im not saying you need to go out and completely revamp your whole suspension to a drag set up for good 60' times. If you can cut 1.8's on slicks w/ the stock suspension and your happy w/ that then that's great. BUT to get the full effect of slicks your going to need a better suspension set up. Slicks are capable of much better then 1.8's. Hell w/ my MT DR's I cut a 1.808 (almost a 1.7) w/ a suspension set up more for autocross racing then the drag strip and that was just w/ DR's I cant wait to see what I'll actually cut w/ an improved suspension and some slicks.

Bottom line is that I know I can cut a 1.8 60ft at least or better resulting in a good bit better et, the track I run at is preped really well.I have a freind with a gtp that cut a 1.7 60ft on street tires at this same track. The street tires that I was running when I was at the track spun all the way through 1st gear on my best pass of the day. What Im saying is that I think I can run 13.7 -13.8 with a full drag slick,Ill find uot as soon as the track opens back up.

Street tires are not going to hook, spinning through 1st gear is not that un common
