It's an ehhh ok deal depending on how much tread is left. I wouldn't really consider them drag tires as they are horrible at the track. They are an upgrade to just regular street tires though.

brand new that size they're about $150 each. If you want them I'd grind him down on price, used tires aren't worth much.

ill sell you my nitto 275-40-17 already mounted on 98 cobra polished rims. the rims could use some cleaning but no curb rash or anything like that and the tires dont have that much tread left, but at least ud have rims to mount better tires on when you get a chance and dont have to waste the tread of a track tire. the only thing is i dunno how much shipping would be considering im in orlando, fl. if i get about 100 plus shipping there yours

That is a good deal and they will hook on the track. You gotta get them really warm first. No they won't hook like M/T's but they are not supposed to. There are two type of drag radials. Dead hook and controlled spin.

M/T's are dead hook and are meant to do just that. Hook with no spin which is great for autos (as there torque converters absorb stress better then a clutch).

The Nittos are a controlled spin tire. They are meant to provide good acceleration with a minimum about of wheel spin. They are designed this way to provide less stress on your drivetrain and are meant more for cars with a manual trans as a dead hook tires puts a lot of stress on the clutch. People do run in the 10's and faster on Nittos.

If your looking for more bite I say go for it as they are better then a regular radial tire. If you want stickier when it comes time to replace them then go for it. Suspension and practice also has a lot to do with how well a tire bites or doesn't bit.

+10000 Some people think they need to "drop the hammer" when in actuallity you can release the clutch smoothly, and get effective results and put less wear on parts.

The dead hook factor really only puts the most stress on the weakest part of the link, the stock axles, clutch, trans, driveshaft ect....

That is what I was implying without trying to make it sound like you NEED to upgrade all that stuff just to run them.

haha yea, good point i leave my clutch as my weak point so it asorbes and slips just enough that i dont lose stock axles of 5500 launches with slicks :)

I would pass...you can get a set brand new for not much more than that.

I dont know why these jokers try to sell nitto drags with like 1/2 tread or less for so much money.

I was trying to get a used set of someone but he wouldnt budge with price and wanted 200+ even though I told hm I could get them brand new for 120 a tire...lol

People are idiots
