Watsup guys, a while back I posted that I was looking at an 04 Terminator motor, sadly it never fell through, BUT I came upon a sweet deal on a procharger that I couldnt pass up on. :headbang: I am mega stoked lol to say the least, but I am 99% sure the seals are dried up on this thing. It is in great condition but it is a p1sch (I dont think they have been made since around early 2000's) and it has just been sitting around (used for about 100 miles). I have heard it costs anywhere form $300 to $1500 for new seals from procharger not to mention the $80 fee they charge just to look at it. My question is this, Does anybody know if procharger is the only place I could take it to, or are there other alternatives...cough...cough...that are cheaper lol. I am not one to skimp when it comes to my car and I will spend the money to take it to procharger if I have to, but I think everybody can agree its nice to save money lol. Let me know whatsup!! Thanks in advance

One more thing, I just ran across this website again: http://www.superchargerrebuild.com/ Has anybody had experience with them?

there are several places or websites i should say, that offer supercharger rebuilds. i'd see if procharger would upgrade it to a d1sc for a certain price and compare it to the price it might cost you to rebuild it. Also if you felt that your mech abilities are pretty good you can always purchase a rebuild kit and do it yourself

Its actually already been upgraded to a D1sc so I am not too worried about that, but the seals are pretty much the only thing I am concerned with. Like I said it is in great condition and I highly doubt it needs anything other than the seals, it just kills me that some seals are so expensive. As far as rebuilding it myself goes, I think I could do it but its really tools that hold me back, I dont really have access to anything fancy (idk what I would need to rebuild it). Thanks for the reply, keep them coming lol.

True, I think I may try and look for a DIY write up on the net somewhere, maybe there is something.

F*ck that noise lol, I am definitely not selling it, I bought it knowing the seals were probably dried up so I am prepared to do whatever I have to.

Game for more ideas lol!

by the time your done your gonna have a used blower that you spend a lot of money on that is still going to be less efficient and make less power then the competitors

Its a p1 that has already been upgraded to a d1 with a 3 core intercooler, all the piping and fuel injectors for 1500 bucks with about 100 miles on it. The way I see it I will spend 300-500 dollars if i take it to procharger for the seals and at most 100 dollars on new rubber elbows(if I even decide to do that), I dont see why I should sell it considering the kit would have cost me around 4000 new. Also how is it going to be any less efficient, I am going to change the seals and the impellar is perfect. Are you saying it will be less efficient than a vortech or a turbo, I will give you that but I am only going for 400whp on a stock block so I am in no way worried about setting any world record with my car and do not need some crazy efficient system to make that kind of power. I respect your opinion but I really dont see why selling it would make any sense.
