I have a '95 GT 5-speed. I just finished installing 4.10's and noticed when i took the driveshaft out that i had play in the universal. Now it's not side-to-side movement but up and down. The universal joint it's self doesn't have play but rather the end caps move up and down in the yoke. I've replaced universals before on land rovers so i'm not all new to this, but if I was to take the snap rings off the yoke, the end caps look like they would fall out just by turning the shaft by hand. Up and down play is about 2-3mm's and side-to side is 0, question is the universal at fault or is the yoke going to need replacing as well??
