Last week my car broke on me... I was on my way to my friends house and the whole way there it was hard to get my shifter into any gear. I made it to a stop sign a block away and couldn't get into 1st gear, so i put it in 3rd and made it to my buddys house. i kept messing with it and ended up buying a new T-5 transmission. I just installed it yesterday and couldn't put it in any gear still. It goes into gear while the car is off but not while its on. I have been told its either the clutch, pressure plate, or clutch cable. So I disengaged the clutch cable and took pics of it. So if anyone could tell me if it would be the cable or anything else please let me know. I havent had my car in over a week and i miss it! PLEASE!!

Here are the pics of the clutch cable.

it looks like your cable is toast. but does it go into gear with your foot on or off the clutch when the car is off?

hm id replace your cable for good measure anyways, they are fairly easy to do, is your fluid level in the tranny good? maybe your clutch is outta whack breaking a cable can sometimes, rarely but possible, cause your clutch to kinda lsip out of adjustment.

See those loose strands of cable? Thats bad, mmmkayy. Yeah the cable is about ready to snap. Its stretched now and not allowing the clutch to be fully disengaged when you step on the peddle. Its like your only pressing the peddle in half way. Even when your foot is on the floor.
