i liked 'em shifting was nice really soft ...to quiet though and the center console latch is flimsy

i was helping set up for a local car show at a dealer ..ill post pics later

anyone else drove a s197?

Never driven one although a old co- worker loved his except for the fact that he had the dredded driveshaft shaking at certain rpm's . He finally got tired of it after servicing it every other week so he sold it.

I drove on at Ford Fan day a couple years ago. It was very nice, but most brand new cars are lol... But im not all that crazy about them, and I still couldnt afford one.

I have driven tons...and a gt500 numerous times.

They are fun cars but dont feel as raw as the sn95s.

The gt500 is badass but spins tires way too easy for my liking

I used to drive S197s all the time at the Ford dealership. The only thing I liked about them is how they rode. I hate how huge they feel, the shifter/transmission and gas pedals feel so sloppy, I could never get totally comfortable in them. The only ones I actually liked to drive were the Shelby GT and Saleens.

i had an 05 convert GT for a weekend a couple of years ago. it was nice to cruise with down the freeways. comfy car.

I've driven a few, alls I can say is... it is what it is. Drove like a normal car, and I'm still not a overly huge fan of the styling... but I like it's styling better than the 1974-1993, or 1999-2004. So to that I give it a plus. I believe it's also the second largest mustang of all time... which I totally despise. It's almost as big as the 1971-1973 mustangs.

Why couldn't ford make this car lighter... I mean... this isn't TOO FREAKING MUCH TO ASK IS IT?????????????????????? IIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSS IIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT?????????????????????????

Oooohhh me wants an 05-09, but me can't afford one either... Me don't likey duh weight, but de carruh is really really cool once me start thinking about it... Oooohhh I just looked at a Gt500 at the Ford dealership the other day.... Maybe I could trade in my dirtbike, my gt mustang, my primed out/ bondo' 69 firebird, and my bicycle for it... Maybe... just maybe... or I could just dream on...
