this is what i was told today by an owner of an autowrecker today . "the mustang 8.8 axle housing with the quad shock setup is extremely rare and hard to find with the 3rd member still in it, but if you want too, i can go to ohio to get you one but its going to cost about $900. but good luck you wont find nothing around here"
i laughed and said oh really? and left. i literally drove 15 minutes across town and found a 92 5 liter fox sitting at a different autowrecker with the complete rear end setup and suspension for about $100. for some reason though this is the second guy that felt like they needed to convince me that 8.8 rear ends have removable 3rd members. what ever.
