E-Brake Light comes on

So my car has always had issues with the ABS light coming on when my car is cold. But Now when I use the brake my e-brake light comes on. Why?

ck your fluid
the BRAKE LIGHT is duel purpose. 1- it tells you when the e-brake is on, 2- when the fluid in the master cylinder is low.
As an added note; if your brake fluid is low and it's not from leaks then a brake pad inspection is in order

Mine used to have the abs light on start up, then it would go away after a few minutes of warmup. When I unpluged the connection at the abs module it was corroded really bad so i cleaned it with electrical connecter cleaner from walmart and that fixed it. You might try that after u check your fluid and pads.
