I recently bought new rotors and pads, and was planning to throw them on this week. The fronts went on without any issue. When I started on the rears, I found my emergency brake was pulled tight but only on the passenger's side. I manually worked the cable back a bit to "release" it. Getting in the car and pulling the handle then worked as normal, but upon releasing it only worked on the driver's side. The passenger's side stayed tight. I tried to work it back and forth manually but it did not seem to free up much, if at all. Any input or ideas for stuff I should try before looking into new calipers? Thanks all.

I will have another go at it this weekend. If I can't figure it out, I will just get a replacement.

Had a similar issue. Can you also check the balancing bracket above the driveshaft to see that tis not broken or anything.

I replaced both my rear calipers on my old car and new cables, the cables were cheap enough that i just threw them on the car for good measure.

I looked into it today, and it seems the caliper is the culprit. I might replace the cables, and I will do a how-to just for you Chris. <3
