If you're spending more than two bucks on a plug, you're throwing away money. (with a tiny few exceptions)

Just stick with some NGK's and save your money

NGK is what I use as well. I was just wondering if anyone had tried them and seen any improvements on gas mileage.

Provided the car is running reasonably well, you're not going to see a discernible difference in fuel mileage just because of fancy plugs.

I've sold a few sets of them through my store and everyone who's bought them claims they can feel a difference, but I honestly see it as a placebo effect... They know they spent like eighty dollars on spark plugs and have themselves convinced it wasn't a waste of money.

I like selling NGK to people over pretty much all our other plugs because they're inexpensive and RELIABLE.

they also did a fuel economy calculation on the e3 vs. conventional plug and gained a few mpg! but if they cost $80 for a set of 8 then the cost doesnt out weigh the savings.... I.M.O.

They are only good (This goes for any platinum plug) for stock or low modified cars and people who don't change their plugs with any regularity. Platinum plugs are designed for the 100k mile warranty mentality. Nothing beats coppers changed on a regular basis. It's just new Hype for non gear heads but dumb gear heads get sucked into the marketing because they don't really know enough.

why? why does platinum outlast copper? and if they have a longer lifespan why dont they perform as well as coppers?
