Easy off oven cleaner?

Heyy, please tell me that im right.My buddy is telling me to use EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER to soak my block to get off the baked on stuff and i told him that that shit is not good for a block, thats why its called OVEN CLEANER.So can i get some feedback to prove him wrong..

It cleans up stuff like that pretty darn well. It's a really strong degreaser.

But it works good under the chassis!

This stuff is a really good degreaser, I use it at work all the time. Make sure you wear gloves using this stuff though it'll eat your hands if you dont.
