Egr delete

was wondering what you guys use to plug off the passenger header..meaning what size plug i tried using a 5/8 compressor plug from home depot but it doesnt tighten all the way down any advice would be greatly appreciated

I know quite a few guys including myself use the penny trick. Just put a penny in place of the tube and tighten it down. Simple and effective.

If you are bound to do it, the penny trick really does work, I have run the same penny for years. It gets the tube out of the way and does not leak or loosen once tight. I also tapped the egr hole and put in a plug instead of a plate, looks much cleaner in my opinion. It also depends on your car, I got rid of the EGR because I have a PD blower and extra temp in the intake was the last thing I needed. On a mostly stock car there most likely is no reason to ditch it other than the cleaner look.

Deleted mine last week. Shop had to make adjustment/changes to X-cal too.

Yeah it's not something you should just block, if you're going to remove it it needs a tune to disable it.
