Not really, the Xcal2 can do the same job pretty much, But I had one on my Cobra and it was pretty neat.

I mean it's got that full LCD display and all. And all the pre-tunes it comes with plus being able to custom tune... I think I may get it haha

Can you give me an estimate price on a 3500 stall plus jmod? i'm trying to do some calculations and I can't seem to find prices on those two items...

The converter's are generally in the 1k range. You have to call to get a price. Jmod runs about 100 bucks from most places, with a core charge. And I already told you what I would do it for.

As for the livewire, the Xcal2 does all the same tuning, it just doesn't have the nifty screen.

So for the JMod you can do the exact same thing for 40 bucks?
Sweet, might jump on that...
Didn't know stalls were sooo expensive though...

Ebay converter's are cheap, lol. But yeah, that's why most people don't rock a stall, 1k is the high end, about 700 is the low.

Exact same thing for 40 bucks WITH your valvebody, it cost me 40 bucks to buy a valve body.

Ok so I'm doing the engine bay cleaning today.
I'm going to go to Advanced Auto and pick up some of that stuff but I have one question

How do I get that blue paint off my tank? I don't wanna put scratches into the plastic, but it's won't just "wipe away"
so..... what do I use?

I would say brake fluid, be careful that you don't get it on your "real" paint though, but it should bubble and peel that right off.

I put some brake fluid on a rag and started scrubbing. Some of it came up but not really that much. I'm going to let it sit for a little bit then go back and try again. Maybe it will loosen it up for the second round of scrubbing.
Is it supposed to come RIGHT off or does it have to sit a little and all? I mean that paint is OLD and has been there for a long time...

Off topic, I got my rear sway bar back in now which is nice.

Anyways, I picked up some engine cleaner called Gunk Gel. That's really all the place had. Hope it works. I also got the Armor All wipes for after I'm done. Right now I'm letting the motor cool down because I went for a test drive with the new sway bar. After it's cooled I'ma start. I still gotta wrap up some stuff with plastic bags though...

I just know I always dumped brake fluid in the bodies of my RC car's to strip the paint and redo them. After it sit's it will like bubble up and just kinda come away.

Well it's definately not bubbling up.
I rubbed it all over it and I mean it's coming off but only cuz i'm scrubbing it. It's not coming off easy either.....

I am waiting for the motor to cool to do the engine spray stuff. I wrapped both coil packs, my alt, and my battery. Should that be enough?

If the paint doesn't come off you can just swap in another. Find someone who has a Canton coolant tank and has their stock just sitting there. PM Blown97Stanger, i think he might have the stock tank and radiator cover that you need....

As far as cleaning my engine...
I spray with simple green, let sit and hose off gently....i cover nothing.
I also have a hand held steamer for the tough stuff (ebay cheap)

I then spray with armor all etc and walk away and let dry for an hour or 2, usually while i clean interior.

Well I just got back.
I installed the MIL elims and the CEL was still on so I went to Advanced to read the codes

Pulled 6....
Before the elims I only had 2....

They are as followed:
P1401 - Manufactor Control Aux Emissions Controls (came up twice)
P0420 - Cat Efficiency below threshold (bank 1, came up twice)
P0430 - Cat Efficiency below threshold (bank 2, came up twice)

I erased the codes to see if maybe it was just because I installed them and maybe if I deleted them it would be corrected. I will check later tonight if it comes back on but until then....

Now what do yall think could be wrong with my car?!
