Is it normal that the engine bay on my 1996 GT seems to look like it's leaning slightly over to the passenger's side?

Go under the car and check the motor mounts. If you seen any cracking in the rubber, or if it completely separated, time to change them.

Another check is to stand in front of the engine bay while someone gives it gas. Watch to see if it leans in that same direction when engine revs. I had a broken motormount once and was driving along, pushed on accelerator pedal, mount broke, engine leaned to one side, pulled on accelerator cable, the Pontiac 350 was WOT and HP won over the brake pads as I T-Boned a hopeless car driving by. I was spinning rear wheels with engine screaming and smoking front rubber applying brakes. Sixteen years old, scared the sh*t out of me and the people I smashed into.

interesting, not only is the 94-95 superior with a better motor and cooler tail lights but we are straight as well :)

Off topic question. What is the huge silencer box leading from the intake tube to the IAC? My 96 didn't come OEM with that.
