why not ask your engine builder what he would charge for the parts? You'd be surprised at the deals they'll cut.
Always over build the short block, you say that the plan is to do it 2 yrs from now? every 6 months buy the best parts you can afford. get a good crank(doesn't need to be forged, just name brand) get a good set of rods, buy the lightest pistons you can get that are a street piston if its staying NA if you're spraying plan accordingly. Put ARP fasteners on everything.
the easy way to do it is buy a good long block from a wrecked car for $200 (or whatever your metric equivilent of that is up there) and have the machine shop check it and build it while you still drive your car. buying the extra long block helps out when you need all the little bolts and crap you always lose or want to take your time cleaning.
Always figure on 10% more than you plan to spend and 25% more if you get in a rush.
