Hey guys!

So, in December, I was driving to work hit a patch of black ice, went into a ditch that was flooded with water :(

So, the only real issues I'm having is that it's running rough, almost 'rich' in a sense. I've put all new spark plugs, wires, new cap rotor. But I'm still having the rough issue.

The check engine light comes on from time to time while I'm driving so last night I broke out my good ole trusty paperclip and jumped it and pulled codes:

542 - Fuel pump circuit failure

543 - When the PCM commanded the fuel pump on, voltage was not detected on FPM

&

314 -
Thermactor air system inoperative (left side); but I know this one isn't a big deal, at all

So, any thoughts? corroded wire somewhere? Maybe my CCRM is toasted?

Please help... :(

You can try this: Disconnect all the sensors under hood (one at a time) and use compressed air to dry them out. The main harness connections may be the culprit.

welcome to the madness. you must post pics of said Mustang.
ck your O2 sensors. 1 may have gotten torn off when you went off roading.
Clean the MAF and IAT sensor and replace the airfilter.

Nope. Had them all replaced last week.

Where are said sensors?

Ok the 02 sensors are on the exhuast right? The MAF was just cleaned but idk about the IAT. Also, the airfliter is a cold air BBK so that side of the car didn't even get wet. I will post pics when I am home.

Yes, your o2 sensors are underneath in the exhaust.. I drove thru... Well, purposely hydroplaned in 3rd gear years ago for fun and lost both o2's as a result. It ran like complete CRAP afterwards. Wouldn't idle right, felt like it was choking til about 3500 rpms then it would take off.. You should dry those connectors out before you replace them. They're usually around 40-60 each.

They're located in between the header collector and the first catalytic converter on either side of your h-pipe:

If I can't find compressed air, would Wd40 work?

No, WD40 will collect dust over time and will lead to similar issues. It's best if you use Electrical Contact cleaner or at least can of "air duster"!! The CC is available at Autozone but the air duster (or keyboard cleaner) comes from like Office Depot
