Engine swap

looks like this thread was sarting to go in a different direction but I had a 96 gts that I blew the motor in and dropped in a 03 pi motor. Mods were bbk x pipe, 4.10's, slp LM1 king cobra clutch and 275 nitto 55r's on 99 cobra wheels and went 13.2 at 104 mph. This was on no tune, no susension, backseat and pass seat removed and a 5 speed. I think it would have been very easy to go 12's all day with cams and a tune. Just go with the 2v it's easy cheap and a great power increase.

who knows... they might have to because people can't afford the gas since everything in america is spread out so much ... you have to drive over 20 mins to 40 mins to go to work and in other places like say England you walk to work in less than a mile...

Its all b/c of poor civil planning. Personally I don't like the fact or idea of the cars loosing what I love best about them but F' it ... if mustang drops the V8 then i'm not giving ford any more of my bussiness. Now it could be a repeat of the 70's when they dropped it but o well. I don't love the car that much.

Ford's twin-turbo 3.5L Duratec is slated to have 400hp and have 420lb/ft from 2000-6000rpm, and a 20% better fuel efficiency than a modular. I'd most definately buy a car with that engine in it, even if it were a Mustang.

uh...where you getting that at?

they may get a little heavier but certainly not slower.

Look at any of the newer cars compared to 10 years ago...theyre all so much faster.

Like all v6's these days are making more hp than our 4.6s, or 5.0s

any of the nissan,hondas,hyundais,acuras...pretty much any of the 3.5 liter, 3.3l, 3.8l w/e v6s are all making like 240-270 hp

even that new ford fusion is pretty quick right?
