engine swap

im looking to either do a 96-98 cobra swap or a pi gt swap. my big question for the gt is if i were to buy a 99-04 crate motor what kind would i want romeo or windsor. ive heard different things and im just wanting to make sure

well it may not be a crate motor after all. im just looking around right now. but thanks for the info i heard head stories about how you should go with romeo instead of windsor but just wasnt sure

it doesnt matter either way really. if you ever plan on putting a forged cobra crank in there, get the Windsor. if not, then makes no difference. if you can find a Romeo engine that has the same routing for the front accessories, i would go with that one. if not, get the romeo. this way you can keep all those accessories as spares incase anything goes out.

and you don't want stuff going out and not having extras,, not to jack this thread but buying a crank pulley, alternator, belt, and tensioner at the same time tends to add up..

its cool man np. but ive been back in forth in selling my car and getting something newer and faster but then ill get compliments about it and decide to keep it so i made the decision jsut to keep her and lose the arm and leg to get where i want :crying: either way im going to have fun doing it
