Engine tick?

hey guys theres ALWAYS a ticking noise on the passenger side on the car. cant hear it inside ut if your standing outside towards that side you can hear it. speeds up with the gas. any ideas? ill see if i can get the noise in a video can i post that in here?

This, sounds like exhaust leak, does it basically stop when your foots off the gas?

X2. Check Exh manifold gasket, and EGR tube mating surfaces... Also, If you think it's in the valve cover, do you have factory or aftermarket heads?

everythings stock right now im trying to save and do everything at once. the noise is always there tho weather im just starting it or have been driving for an hour. cold or hot its there. it does sound like its in the valve cover or right around there but ill go through all the things you guys mentioned as soon as its done raining.

i had this problem the other day. had the noise for 8 months or so. i finaly got tired of it and checked my passenger side header. replaced the gasket and its gone.

the sound did seem like it was in the valve cover but it was no such thing.

Exhaust gasket leak, i had similar problem put new headers on with MLS gaskets and it was gone.
