I spent all day at my friend's shop today using his Wheelabrator shot blasting machine to clean a TON of parts. I spent three hours yesterday with my pressure washer blasting all the grime and crap off of them with 3000 psi, and the Wheelabrator took care of the rest with 150 mph steel shot. :boink: I really want one of those machines - I'm trying to find one used somewhere for maybe a few grand or something.
Anyway, now I have SHIT TON of parts ready to be smoothed out and powdercoated. Here's just the ones I blasted today (I have more in bins) -- Keep in mind, my workbench is three meters long. :thumb:
I got some FRPP shorty stainless headers used for $40 - I'll be ceramic coating these. You can also see some Ford 2.3 Turbo pulleys which I'll be doing for a good friend of mine. Also stock fox brackets.
...more turbo four stuff. Sorry for the blurry picture. Also some fox steel brackets.
Ford 2.3 Turbo valve covers. One of them is damaged and I'm going to try to fix it up a bit before I coat it. Both of these will receive some trick custom powdercoating for my friend.
Four sets of stock fox valve covers. I'll be sanding all these down and coating each of them different colors. I think I'm going to try silver, gunmetal gray, charcoal gray, and either chrome or flat black.
The fox valve covers will go through several stages of smoothing and standing as seeen below.
...and they'll end up looking something like this:
Also while I was there I ran up to Pep Boys to buy a cheap 15/16" socket. Some of you may remember that I was having trouble with my overdrive alternator pulley because it is so small that a socket doesn't fit.
Big nut, small pulley:
$4 socket sacrificed to my friend's lathe to cut about .070" off of it:
Voila! Success! ...but I probably shouldn't use my impact wrench on this... It's a tad thin. :hammer:

Today was a good day.
