Erratic Idle?

I got this modded 95GT a few weeks back knowing it has idle issues. It likes to idle around 2k then (time varies) settles back down to round 750 which sounds really nice with the E303 cam. Been told the E303 can cause this, also the IAC, EGR, MAF, etc.. Thought I'd see what you guys think..??

Im with ^^ this guy. My 91 did the same thing. BUT the 94-95's like to do weird things with cam swaps. Some will accept and adapt to them and others wont. Id clean up the IACV and if it changes it even slightly Id go ahead and buy a new one. Most of the time the cleaning will only prolong the enevitable. Also cleaning the MAF with the correct cleaner wont hurt.

Fisrt start it up it idles up for a moment then settles down. As soon as you touch the gas it idles to 2k the eventually drops back down. Hell, sometimes it idles while riding and acts like cruise control. I've tried everything except replacing the IAC. Guess that is next.. Thanks guys!

Not wanting to thread jack but my car idles at 2k and stays until i come to a complete stop. anybody wanna give some suggestions? i have cleaned the maf. i also have a miss at idle but seems to disappear at throttle

do a search for idle air restrictor or for an adjustable idle air control plate. They are easy to make if you do not want to buy one.

Just to make it easy. A jig-saw/drill and a file will take maybe 30 mins.
