There are way way way way to many variables...

1.) What heads, cam, intake, exhaust etc are you using?

2.) What is going to be the final compression ratio with the heads?

3.) What kind of pistons are you using?

etc. etc. etc...

You could make anything from 300 to 450 or so depending on what you use.

See uh yeah.... im completely stock right now so i dont have anything goin on thats why i asked about the kit so what all would be needed to make the kit complete?

Just rebuilding with that kit.

If your not looking to upgrade anything and just rebuilding with your original stuff...you would probably make 230-240 RWHP imo, I could be way off since I have never seen anyone rebuild with a stroker and use stock parts.

If you want to know what can make the setup "complete" would depend on your goals??

MONEY! :laughing4: Seriously, to do it right and be happy with it, you will need to do alot of planning and have money saved up once you start your rebuild. Because once you start, it's all the little things that add up. You will need to get the whole rotating assembly balanced, which might require a new flywheel and harmonic balancer depending on your crank. Don't forget about a cam, heads, pushrods, intake (intake elbow), throttle body, valve covers, injectors, fuel pump, MAF Sensor, plugs, wires, cap + rotor, headers, exhaust, oil pump, and A TUNE. Don't forget all your fluids: oil, tranny oil, coolant, decompress AC. Those you will definitely need. And don't forget all your machine shop fees! Good Luck I just did mine earlier this year and I'm glad I took the time to plan it out! :thumbsup:

i would just buy a short block for dss or the like. Stock blocks but they are already assembled and ready to go. just get one that has been balanced

Thanks guys I can see that this is going to be out of my budget. Im just trying to think of some cheap fast mods, ya know?

quick rebuild on the shortblock, custom cam, flycut the pistons, and a good set of heads and an intake and you'll be over 300

flycutting is essentially notching the piston to allow more lift and larger valves. By doing so you allow yourself to run much more aggressive heads and cam which in turn allows you to make much more power. Your machine shop, if competent, should be well aware of how to.

A quick rebuild would be to send out and check over the pistons, rods, crank, block in order to check for any structural damage. Then have a machine shop turn the crank if needed, check the rods, balance the assembly and blueprint, as well as vat the block and install new bearings that match the cranks journal size. A well balanced motor is free horsepower. I use a scale so that I can measure the weight of my rods and pistons so I can make them all the same weight. You'd be surprised how much it can help.

ohhhhhh I see!! I'm just a youngster so im still learning. Main problem now is where is there a decent machine shop lol

Make sure you get a good one. It won't matter how good of a kit you buy if the shop can't figure out how to make it right

If you want a good machine shop, go around to a few of your local REPUTABLE mechanics and ask who they use for a machine shop..

Where are you at?
